As autumn settles in, we prepare for one of the most meaningful and heartfelt annual events—the launch of the 2024 Poppy Appeal in Bexleyheath. On Saturday 26th October, our community will come together to honor the brave and the fallen who have served our country, while raising essential funds to support the Royal British Legion.
What is the Poppy Appeal?
The Poppy Appeal is an annual fundraising campaign that helps support veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces, and their families. The symbolic red poppy serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made during conflicts past and present. 11am: Service of Dedication at Christ Church
The day will begin with a short yet poignant Service of Dedication at the Garden of Remembrance at Christ Church, Broadway Bexleyheath, led by Rev. Trevor Wyatt. This service is a solemn moment to reflect, remember, and honor those who have served our country, particularly those from Bexleyheath and its surrounding areas.
