Calling All Young Entrepreneurs and Self-Starters
Are you ready for take-off? Get involved in Bexleyheath BID’s Community Market
Bexleyheath BID is thrilled to announce another fabulous local incentive – the Community Market – and the BID is inviting young people, aged 17 to 24, to launch their own market stall for free.
The Community Market will run across 4 Thursdays in March and will take place in Bexleyheath Town Centre. Young local people will be able to sell a wide range of affordably-priced products to shoppers and visitors to Bexleyheath.
Supportive and Well-Positioned
Bexleyheath is a busy, thriving shopping area, with new businesses launching every day. It’s the perfect site to launch a new business from, but it can be hard to know where to start – especially if you’re just at the beginning of your journey. Working together with Bexleyheath BID and local business mentors, you’ll benefit from free promotional support during the Community Market.
Bexleyheath BID wants to shine a light on the area’s younger entrepreneurs and is offering a helping hand in the shape of a superb business starter pack that will help young people to launch their new ideas and different products. Part of the starter pack includes a free weekly market pitch within the weekly community market for at least 4 weeks, and it also includes free promotions and press coverage. Successful applicants will get the chance to talk with already-established local business leaders and learn from their experience.
In addition to the market stalls, each week Bexleyheath BID plans to showcase the talent of upcoming young local performers, such as musicians and dance groups.
The Community Market initiative is organised by Bexleyheath BID, with additional support from Bexley Council, European Regional Development Fund, and HM Government.
Bexleyheath’s Community Market will be a free platform for young people to showcase their creative talents, while the BID helps to support the next generation of market traders and ensure that the town centre will continue to benefit from the influx of energy, vibrancy and diversity that the market brings to the local community.
