Winners Announced at Hall Place Gala
Bexley’s brightest businesses took centre stage on Tuesday 15th April at Hall Place, Bexley, as the Bexley Business Awards 2025 recognised outstanding achievement, service, and community spirit across the borough.
Now in its fourth year, the awards honour businesses making a real difference—from brand-new start-ups to long-established local favourites. Organised by Bexleyheath BID, the event brought together entrepreneurs, employers, and changemakers for a vibrant evening of recognition, networking, and celebration. The event hosted by James Hume, with music performances from swing perfomers The Two Bows.
The Mayor of The London Borough of Bexley Sue Gower MBE JPattended the event and shared:
“It was wonderful to see staff from so many local businesses at the event, organised by the Bexleyheath BID team / Enjoy Bexleyheath. Bexley is very proud of our local business community and tonight it was a pleasure to see its members recognised for the outstanding contribution they make to our borough.”
Bexleyheath’s Town Centre Manager Caron Linyard added:
“Tonight is a celebration of hard work, dedication, creativity, and the brilliant businesses that make our borough thrive. What began as the Bexleyheath High Street Awards has grown into something even more special, with entries this year from across the whole borough. Tonight has been incredible, and we’re proud to shine a spotlight on the diverse and vibrant businesses that call Bexley home.”
A total of 17 categories were awarded this year, including standouts in customer service, hospitality, health & wellbeing, and community contribution. The overall Business of the Year 2025 award was presented to Theatre Box Performing Arts Academy. The event was sponsored by a range of local businesses including Home Instead, South East London Chamber of Commerce, Broadway Shopping Centre, Welpol Contract Cleaning, Ikon Protection, Bradley’s Jewellers and London Borough of Bexley.
Jade Flannery, founder of Theatre Box Performing Arts Academy said
“The Bexley Awards is such a fantastic event truly shining a spotlight on the amazing businesses in Bexley and it was such an honour to even be there! I am still completely overwhelmed and lost for words that we won Business of the Year!! This is such an important award and achievement for us all at Theatre Box and I am so grateful for the recognition of all of the hard work over the last 6 years! The Performing Arts teaches invaluable, lifelong transferable skills and it is our mission to make it as accessible as possible to as many as we can - this award is for us and also for our industry. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the awards - this truly means more than you will ever know!”
